Associate Pastor of Students & Families
Jason Salyer was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee. He came to know Christ as a teenager and began following God's call in ministry at age 18. He began his preaching ministry at churches throughout East Tennessee.
He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from East Tennessee State University in 2002. He then attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY where he received his Master of Divinity in December 2006. While in seminary, Jason served as an interim pastor, student pastor, and speaker to churches in the Kentucky/Indiana area near Louisville. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in family ministry.
Jason married his wife Bethany on May 19, 2001 and they have faithfully served together in ministry to families as a family. They have three children, Kaydin, Chloe, and Isaac.
To this day, Jason believes that the opening day of Major League Baseball should be considered a National Holiday....though it's not a holiday, he continues to celebrate it as one anyways. Go Braves!!
