KRISTA FRAHME

Director of Preschool & Children

Krista was born on Oct. 15, 1967 to Dale and Eleanor Rose who were both public school teachers.  Krista was the 2nd of four daughters and spent the majority of her childhood in Morristown, TN. She attended First Baptist Church Morristown where she surrendered to the call of ministry at the age of 16. Although unsure of what ministry area she was to pursue, at the time she simply wanted to be obedient to His will and continued to serve in the church.   She graduated from Morristown East High School in 1985 and went to Carson-Newman College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Children and Youth in 1989.  During College she served as the Middle School Youth Director at FBC Morristown.

Krista married David Frahme, a US Army Officer, and moved to London, England with him for their first duty assignment.  There she was the Youth Director for the High Wycombe Air Station Base Chapel, which also served as a Boarding School for Military High School students. After leaving the military in 1992, David and Krista moved to Ashland, KY where their 1st daughter, Laura, was born and then to Smyrna, TN where their 2nd daughter, Elizabeth was born.

It was in Smyrna that the Lord began giving Krista a heart for Children’s Ministry and opened doors for her to serve in Children’s Ministry at FBC Smyrna and then again as the Children’s Ministry Director at FBC Lewisport, KY before joining the staff at EMBC in 2007.  Krista is excited about what the Lord is doing here and feels blessed to be a part of it.
