Why do we do Sunday School at EMBC?

We do Sunday School in order to obey Jesus’ command to make disciples. The mission of Sunday School is to Reach people, Teach people, and Minister to people. Sunday School exists to transform people into disciples by equipping and mobilizing them to accomplish the mission of Jesus Christ. The 5-fold ministry of the Church is 1) worship, 2) evangelism, 3) discipleship, 4) ministering to needs, and 5) fellowship. With the exception of worship, each of these ministries would be neglected if we relied only on our weekly worship service to accomplish our mission. Therefore, WE DO SUNDAY SCHOOL!
